The Cut River Bridge is to the west of St Ignace Michigan on U.S. 2. It spans the Cut River Gorge with two roadside parks on either end where you can walk down and under the bridge. These pictures show the parks as you would see them coming from the east they are right at the end of the bridge so if you miss one you know the other is coming up.
The bridge has a walk way under the the road on either end with views of the frame work of the bridge.
A sidewalk with guard rail protection on both sides of the road going across the bridge. From the center of the bridge you can grab a shot of lake michigan with the foliage on either side of the gorge. The cut river is more like a creek than a river as you can see or can’t see from the pictures.
The foliage in fall is fantastic and the trails into the gorge are easy to hike in tennis shoes or walking shoes.
Just to let you know the bridge comes up fast from either direction and the roadside parks don’t give you much lead to turn so keep an eye out for them. Again either side of the bridge you can get to the park so if you miss the first just stop at the second one. Happy shooting I hope this adds to your pictures of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan!
